He completed his graduation and post-graduation in Britain at the prestigious Cardiff University School of Journalism, and was inducted into the University's Honour Roll. He started writing poetry when he was a student at the Doon School in Dehradun. His first poetry collection 'Chameleon Lights' was featured in the top 10 poetry bestseller list 2017 on Amazon.com. Ayushman also serves as a Board member of the Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust, established to promote and preserve the Dogri language spoken by the Duggar community of the Shivalik foothills.
