Betz Gear LLC DBA Ley Amber Collective
Date: June 2025
Purpose:
The Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and standards of behavior for any persons or entities affiliated with Betz Gear LLC (referred to as “Ley Amber Collective”), and its location (referred to as the “Premises”).
This Code of Conduct applies to both the physical premises and digital spaces relating to Ley Amber Collective. Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that aligns with our community values and mission. All examples listed are included but not limited to those herein.
I. Behavior
a. Integrity & Honesty
- All Ley Amber Collective community members must conduct themselves with integrity and honesty in all business dealings, including:
- Providing accurate and truthful information.
- Avoiding plagiarism, theft, and deception.
- Reporting any unethical behavior or breaches of this code.
b. Accountability
- Ley Amber Collective community members are responsible for their actions and decisions while on and off the Premises, including:
- Transparency & communication.
- Leading by example, not direction.
- Being open to feedback and suggestions.
- Seeking guidance when necessary.
- Avoid blame-shifting or scapegoating.
- Follow through on commitments and communicating needs for flexibility.
c. Respect for Others
- Respect must be exhibited in all practices and products, including all interactions with Ley Amber Collective, other businesses, other community members, site owners, volunteers, and customers, including but not limited to:
- Valuing diversity and promoting an inclusive environment.
- Avoiding discriminatory, harassing, or bullying behavior.
- Listening to and valuing others’' opinions and contributions.
- Ley Amber Collective has a zero-tolerance policy on racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, abusive, and anything else that falls under any form of negative behavior or verbiage towards others.
- Ley Amber Collective has a zero-tolerance policy for abusive behaviors, including but not limited to physical abuse.
d. Fairness
- Ley Amber Collective and community members vow to act fairly and impartially in all interactions, including:
- Avoiding favoritism and bias.
- Providing equal or equitable opportunities for all community members.
- Making decisions based on merit and objective criteria.
e. Conflict Resolution
- Disagreements are to be handled respectfully. If community members cannot conduct themselves accordingly, they must remove themselves from the situation or the Premises before escalation.
- Ley Amber Collective community members shall address any and all conflicts, issues, and grievances promptly (after appropriate self-regulation time) and constructively with integrity, accountability, and respect. This includes:
- Acknowledging mistakes, taking healthy steps to rectify them, and gracefully facing repercussions.
- Seeking resolution through direct and constructive communication with the involved parties (e.g., allowing each party to finish speaking).
- Escalating issues to Ley Amber Collective, if necessary.
- Requesting mediation or other conflict resolution processes, if required.
- Avoiding blame-shifting or scapegoating.
- Practicing transparency and clear, healthy communication.
II. Safety
a. Respectful Use of Resources
- All community members must use Ley Amber Collective resources responsibly and for legitimate community purposes, including:
- Using equipment, systems, and supplies appropriately to avoid injury, damage, or waste.
- Avoiding personal use that incurs costs or affects use ability.
- Protecting assets from loss, theft, destruction, waste, or misuse.
b. Designated Smoking Areas
- Smoking and vaping of any kind is only permitted in designated areas, outside of the Premises and no less than 20ft away.
c. Safe Environment
- Ley Amber Collective has a zero-tolerance policy for abusive behaviors, including but not limited to physical, verbal, and emotional abuse.
- All community members must contribute to keeping Ley Amber Collective a safe, healthy, and accessible environment.
- In the event of a conflict or emergency situation, Ley Amber Collective will follow all procedures as outlined in the Emergency Action Plans (EAP).
d. Substance Abuse
- Ley Amber Collective has a zero-tolerance policy for the abuse of alcohol and legal, illicit, or prescription drugs while on the Premises.
- Ley Amber Collective has a zero-tolerance policy for the consumption of alcoholic beverages while on the Premises.

Ley Amber Collective community members shall avoid the consumption of alcohol while on the Premises and shall not be present on the Premises while under the influence of alcohol.
All community members must contribute to and enforce keeping Ley Amber Collective a safe, healthy, and accessible environment, including:
- Maintaining cognition and functionality while on the Premises.
- Being fit for the public and not under the influence while on the Premises.
- Seeking assistance if struggling with substance abuse issues.
III. Quality
a. Commitment to Quality
- Ley Amber Collective community members must strive for excellence in their work, including:
- Delivering high-quality products and services.
- Continuously improving skills and knowledge.
- Seeking and acting on feedback.
- All artists associated with Ley Amber Collective are committed to original and transformative art.
- No use of others’ work without proper licensing and permitting, including fonts, assets, etc.
- No use of generative AI.
- Multi-level marketing businesses, mass-produced goods, racist/culturally appropriative work, or anything overtly offensive will not be permitted on the Premises.
- Any products displayed or sold by Ley Amber Collective community members that do not follow the code of conduct may not be brought onto the Premises.
b. Innovation
- All community members are encouraged to be innovative and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement. This includes:
- Suggesting new ideas and solutions.
- Embracing change and adapting to new challenges.
- Collaborating with others to drive innovation.
IV . Accessibility
a. General
- All community members will make every effort within their control and means to ensure Ley Amber Collective is accessible to all members of the community.
b. Parking
- Community members who require use of the accessible parking spaces will have first right to use the spaces.
c. Seating
- When necessary, able bodied community members will offer to relocate to less accessible areas if they are occupying more accessible areas needed by another member of the community with certain accessibility needs.
d. Sound Levels
- All community members must make attempts to be respectful of others and control their volume levels while on the Premises.
- Community members will attempt to gracefully accept feedback on their volume levels where it negatively impacts others in the community.
V . Laws & Regulations
a. Legal Compliance

All community members must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and community policies. This includes:
- Adhering to labor and employment laws.
- Following health and safety regulations.
- Complying with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws.
b. Financial Responsibility
- Ley Amber Collective Members must ensure accurate and honest financial reporting and management. This includes:
- Keeping accurate records of transactions and expenses.
- Avoiding fraudulent activities.
- Reporting any financial discrepancies or irregularities.
VI. Compliance & Reporting
a. Adherence
- All community members must contribute to and enforce keeping Ley Amber Collective a safe, healthy, and accessible environment, including:
- Following safety protocols and procedures, as outlined in the Emergency Action Plans (EAP), the Exposure Control and Infection Prevention Plan (ECIPP), and other Ley Amber Collective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Reporting any hazards, violations, or unsafe conditions.
- Providing feedback and suggestions for accessibility and inclusivity.
- Support the well-being of all community members in an equitable manner. All community members must adhere to this Code of Conduct at all times, both on and off the Premises.
- Non-compliance and disregard for these core values and codes of conduct will result in restorative justice and disciplinary action, up to and including termination of any association with Ley Amber Collective.
- A lack of accountability and push-back shall result in the termination of all access and association to Ley Amber Collective, and the violator will be asked to leave the Premises immediately.
- Ley Amber Collective retains the right to refuse any community members, products, and vendors that do not abide by our regulations or the relevant laws in the state of Arizona.

Betz Gear LLC DBA Ley Amber Collective and affiliates will not be held responsible for any consequences related to the use or sale of illegally obtained or distributed products, whether mistakenly or intentionally.
b. Reporting Violations
- Ley Amber Collective community members must report any violations of this Code of Conduct in writing via official channels.
- This includes:
- Reports and complaints are only visible to Ley Amber Collective to keep information confidential.
- Reporting shall be done in good faith and without fear of retaliation.

- Provide equal or equitable opportunities for all based on facts.
- Commit to trying to resolve conflicts respectfully and after calming yourself.
- Respect each other, even in disagreements.
- Mistakes happen, but are no longer mistakes when repeated and if healthy steps aren’t taken to make things better.
III. Safety
- All resources, tools, and equipment must be used for their intended purpose and used safely.
- Make sure to clean up after yourself and put things where they belong to avoid loss/theft.
- Ley Amber Collective has a zero-tolerance policy for abusive behaviors.
- The Ley Amber Collective Emergency Action Plans (EAP) must be followed in situations of conflict or emergencies.
- No alcohol at Ley Amber Collective.
- No abuse of drugs (legal, illegal, illicit, or prescription).
- You must be of sound mind while at Ley Amber Collective.
- Seek assistance if you are struggling with substance abuse issues.
IV . Accessibility
- Everyone must do their best to ensure all community members have access to the spaces they need.
- Everyone must make attempts to keep their volume at levels respectful to those around them.
V . Quality
- Strive for high-quality products and services.
- Commit to improving your skills and knowledge, and seek feedback and suggestions.
- Never use someone else’s work without their explicit permission and proper licensing.
- Don’t use generative AI and present it as your own or original work.
- Ley Amber Collective does not accept multi-level marketing businesses, mass-produced goods, racist/culturally appropriative work, or anything overtly offensive.
- Everyone is encouraged to suggest new ideas, embrace change, and collaborate with others.
VI. Compliance with Laws & Regulations
- Everyone must follow all laws, regulations, and community policies.
- Make sure all financial reporting is accurate and honest.
- Don’t steal or report false information.
VII. Compliance & Reporting
- All community members must contribute to and enforce keeping Ley Amber Collective a safe, healthy, and accessible place.
- Everyone must follow the safety rules listed in the Ley Amber Collective Emergency Action Plans (EAP).
- Everyone should report any hazards, violations, or unsafe conditions.
- Everyone is encouraged to provide feedback and suggestions for accessibility and inclusivity.
- Everyone must follow this Code of Conduct at all times, even when not at Ley Amber Collective.
- If the Code of Conduct is not followed, Ley Amber Collective will work with each person to explain the mistakes and may have to ask someone to leave temporarily. Depending on the issue, the person may be asked not to return to Ley Amber Collective and banned from all physical and digital premises.
- If mistakes are made, everyone should take accountability for their actions and acknowledge their mistakes. If they don’t, they might be asked to leave immediately and not allowed to return.
- Ley Amber Collective has the right to refuse to work with anyone if they don’t align with the ethics and practices of this Code of Conduct or the relevant laws.
- Ley Amber Collective and its partners will not take responsibility for anyone breaking the law, even if it happens at Ley Amber Collective, whether it was a mistake or intentional.
- Everyone must commit to reporting violations to Ley Amber Collective and managers.
- No one will be mistreated or punished for reporting violations or issues.
