by Marie-Josée Poisson (Author), Flora-Lee Bendit (Translator), Flora-Lee Bendit (Editor)

In Blood Bound: Unlacing Secret Ties, costume historian Geoffroy Le Hideux recognizes the coat of arms of Madame de Pompadour on a blood-stained dress found hidden in the walls of the Élysée Palace. In a genealogical investigation taking her from Montreal to Paris, Lou Ashby, a successful communications agent at a television station called La Chaîne, meets Geoffroy. Together they will expose a secret that alters what was considered historical fact: Madame de Pompadour did not have descendants. But what if she had? Why hide the fact that she had a son who, contrary to historical belief, survived childhood?

Author Biography

Marie-Josée Poisson spent many years working as a senior level communications professional for various Montreal organizations, including a stint as a magazine editor. She left the communications field to focus on her creative writing and has written three historical novels.

Flora-Lee Bendit has been a translator for almost 40 years, working primarily in the corporate sector. Blood Bound: Unlacing Secret Ties was her first literary endeavour and her greatest challenge. It allowed this logophile to express her passion for creative translation and verbal art. She continues to work as a freelance French-to-English translator.
