University of Southern California student Clint is somewhat of a prodigal son back on the East Coast. Out in sunny California, he has made a name for himself selling marijuana, but a trip back east has him shaken and shocked by the strange turns his life has taken.

It all starts with one very important party. Clint believes that the bash thrown by his friend Saul is just an opportunity to network with new clients and let loose, but a brutal murder makes Clint reevaluate everything he knows about the business. In his haste to put distance between himself and the terrible crime, he accepts a new job with a New York nightclub and reconnects with a friend. Between his new job and his old friend, Clint can't seem to dodge the trouble that has followed him from Saul's party.

In this thriller of kingpins and crooks, the fearless protagonist must find a way to avoid further bloodshed and make the law work for him. It won't be easy, and it won't end with just one murder. Clint will have to be careful not to become the next victim in a high-stakes game of drugs, dealers, and death.

Ken Law is a world traveler, PhD candidate, and debut author. His noir thriller Dirty Suede was partially inspired by his many trips to Amsterdam.
