Author Biography

Barry Grills is a former chair of The Writers' Union of Canada and the Book and Periodical Council. His short stories have appeared in various literary magazines and anthologies over the years, including Best Canadian Stories. His critically acclaimed memoir, Every Wolf's Howl won an Alberta Book Award for its publisher, Freehand Books. He is also the author of three musical biographies on the lives and careers of Anne Murray, Alanis Morissette and Celine Dion. His work on an updated version of Dion's life, co-authored with Jim Brown, was the source for a CBC television movie. He currently lives and works in North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
